Booking & Billing

Payment is due at the time of your visit. If we bill your insurance, any copay, coinsurance, or amounts not covered will be billed to you after your claim is processed.

I accept select insurance plans (Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, and Tricare) and will verify your benefits when possible. Coverage depends on your plan, and you’re responsible for any copays, deductibles, coinsurance, or services your plan doesn’t cover.

If you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as you can so another family can use the time. Late cancellations may have a fee, especially for home visits.

If you’re running late, please call or text as soon as you can. We’ll do our best to make the visit work within the time that’s left.

If you miss your visit, please reach out as soon as possible so we can help you reschedule. No-shows may have a fee.

If you need to move your appointment, contact us as soon as you can and we’ll find the next best time. We try to stay flexible, especially in the early postpartum weeks.

If you prepaid and plans change, we’ll apply your payment to a rescheduled visit when possible. If we can’t provide the service as planned, we’ll refund any unused amount.

After you book, you’ll get a confirmation and a few quick questions so I can tailor the visit to your needs. If you have an urgent feeding concern, start with the 15-minute phone consult for quick guidance and next steps.

I try to apply these policies with care because postpartum life can be unpredictable. If something unexpected happens, reach out and we’ll figure out the most reasonable next step.

It depends on what’s going on and how quickly things change at home and with work plans. Some families feel clear after an initial visit, while others prefer a follow-up to adjust the plan once they’ve tried it in real life or when childcare/work routines begin.

It’s a structured way to plan for pumping and feeding around your return-to-work timeline. We focus on practical decisions like when to pump, how to handle caregiver feeds, how to reduce stress around the workday routine, and how to adjust once you’re back at work. The goal is a plan you can actually follow, with room to adapt—without promising a specific outcome.

What People Say

"I reached out in the first week because feeding already felt painful, confusing, and much harder than I expected. Elena was calm, reassuring, and incredibly practical. She helped me understand what was going on, made small changes that mattered right away, and later helped me make a plan for pumping and going back to work. I finally felt like I could do this."
